I don't really know the rules or "blogging ettiquette" but I'll try my best to keep it real, interesting, a source of good insight and whatever I want to discuss, rant about, persuade, inform or perhaps demonstrate. (Yes, demonstrate: I believe there is a video application.) I don't really have a theme, but I am very opinionated (according to my former boss at Menards) and passionate, so I think this will be interesting. I can't promise every post will be as good as the last or the upcoming or that I'll publish something every day, but, of course, this will be fun either way. I encourage you to comment on anything I publish on here so maybe we can all learn something new. I have a feeling this will evolve and get better through the life of the blog. So just sit back, grab some, in the words of a cherished swedish grandmother, "cookas and coffae" and join me in this new adventure of mine.
Okay, so to clear something up that I know most of you have already butchered, a few times, is that "Salut" is not pronounced sa-lut or another word you thought originally (shame on ya'll)! It's pronounced like sa-loo and French for "hi". Living 30 minutes outside of the French Quarter in Nawlins (New Orleans) and having had 4 years of high school French, I figured "hey, I haven't used my French in 9 years, so why not put it to use now" lol. I laugh because I probably only remember 10% of what I was taught, including "salut". Thanks Mrs. Delaney! Anyways, I figure that most of you who will follow this blog are probably from "Minnesconsin", so this blog will learn ya little about the southern life in the bayou; hence, "Salut from the Bayou".
Stayed tuned for more bayou blogging coming to your computer from LaPlace Louisiana. I'm really excited about this people!
